Current Project
The Friends of Endicott Park’s current initiative is raising the funds and providing assistance towards the renovation of the Children’s Barn. This unique historical structure is the only known example of this architectural design in New England. It is one of only three buildings left of the farm complex that was once the thriving “gentlemen’s farm” of William C. Endicott, Secretary of War under President Cleveland and a direct descendant of the Massachusetts Governor, John Endicott.

Past Projects
The Nature Center was recently completed and the grand opening was hosted on May 10, 2018. The Nature Center resides in a wing of the restored Carriage House, which also serves as the visitor center. The new Nature Center features a multitude of educational displays. The functioning observation bee hive is a huge attraction for kids and adults alike.
The aquarium is home to some of the natural flora and fauna found in and around the pond on the property. In addition, two terrariums house a native toad and tree frog. There are multiple preserved animals, and a large life-like mural. The Nature Center also boasts a reading nook filled with books about science and local species, as well as plenty of beautiful signage to explain all of the wonderful pieces of nature visitors can experience at the park.
The Nature Center would not have been possible if not for former rangers Dave and Joan Townley who originally dreamed of completing it.
The Nature Center was paid for with funds raised by the Friends of Endicott Park. The project cost over $125,000 and would not have been possible without the generous contributions of our donors. The donor tree recognizing those who made this project possible is located in the hallway directly outside the interior doors. We cannot express enough how thankful we are for all those who assisted in making this project a reality.

The Friends of Endicott Park as formed in 1995 to educate the general public about the purpose and history of Endicott Park, while promoting the accessibility to and appreciation of this space.
